Christmas Day

We originally told the kids they had to stay in their rooms until 8am...but then Jeff and I were up early and excited and couldn't wait, so we got the kids out of their rooms around 7:15. There is nothing quite like Christmas morning for anticipation and excitement!

Here they are peeking around the corner...

Gifts for each other... "Thank you, thank you...it's just what I've always wanted!"

Santa leaves a Treasure Hunt for the kids, they have to find clues that lead them to their gift from him. Karl did his first and ended up in a neighbor's basement!!

Maglet went next and got a Island Barbie Carriage with a Prince and a Princess Barbie (it plays music....arg, Santa must have missed that little detail) It was found in the trunk of Daddy's car.

Lastly was patient Kat. It was worth the wait however, her reaction didn't disappoint. I think she about passed out when she realized she really did get a video camera! Look for video updates on Kat's Krazy Kreations! Woot!

Fun pics especially for you Grandmas and Grandpas

The rest of the holidays were spent enjoying many games of Monopoly and Ticket to Ride.

Jeff will not be happy that I post this but it's too funny to not share...Maglet near the beginning of December had been begging for Jeff to put lights on the house. It's been getting dark so early here that when he finally did get started he only got this far and then major snow storms happened and then...he traveled like a crazy man so we've had 1/3 of our house with lights on. Makes me laugh (but Maglet has been thrilled, I wonder what she'll do when the whole house gets done?).
Oh! I almost forgot, Maglet got her dreydle (it's all she wanted after all...) thanks Santa!

it was more like half the house that had lights on it.
