The kids weren't allowed to wear actual Halloween costumes to school. Karl participated in a "Vocabulary Parade" where each student selected a word (supplied to each class) and then created a costume that shows what the word means. (Based on the book "Miss Alaineus A Vocabulary Disaster" by Debra Frasier) Karl won the "Longest Word Successfully Illustrated" award with transparent. This is Maglet in a Halloween shirt she created at her school complete with a spooky crown. She got to wear this for a little parade and practice trick-or-treating around the school.
We couldn't decide which costume was best for Lucy Goosey. You can cast your vote in comments: "Lobsta" or "Roosta".

Love the vocabulary costume! But what kind of school bans Halloween??? =(
The actual costumes are great! Loved Kat's at the ward party!
THE LABSTA IS VERY N.E.! BUT THAT ROOSTA HAT ROCKS. ... OH, THE KIDS ARE CUTR TOO!!!!!
I've got to vote for "Transparent" as being one of my favorite costumes of all. Such cute pictures. I've never met your little Miss M, but she looks like such a sweetie in all her pictures. Probably just like her Mom was at that age. . .
