"P" Time

Precipices

The time for color has arrived...and hopefully furniture too. But all in good time and really, who needs furniture when you've got this 10 ft yellow monstrosity? Things really do look a lot scarier from even 5 feet up, I think I'll leave the scaffolding to Jeff. Everything is almost taped up and ready to roll (pha, good one!) this weekend.

Painting

These are the accent wall color options in the formal living room (the wall they're on). We are going with the more green hue on the right. My original inspiration (from a piece of scrapbooking paper) was to go turquoise and red but it's been subdued, and that's ok.

We are going with the left as the new "neutral" and the middle for the accent wall in the entry. It looks pretty beige (say that word five times and laugh at your rubbery lips...bugs!) but it really is a grey.Puppet Shows

Here is the puppet show that Maglet and her buddy Tiger (his Wii name) put together for kicks. Crank up your volume and enjoy, it's about a minute long.

Pressents

Carl celebrated his way into double digits this last week. He was served an eggo waffles breakfast in bed and had a really happy day. Thank you to all who celebrated this day with him with phone calls, gifts and love. What a lucky family we are to have such a terrific kid!!! (technical difficulties with photos...will post soon I hope!)

Precipitation

Just when we thought Spring had Sprung, it really went back into hibernation. I busted out the snowplow this morning only to have it look like it hadn't even been touched by the time I was done. So I decided to just wait it out. Good thing the sun is shining now, hopefully it will melt itself away!!

Aunt Peg

We went to visit my Great Aunt Peg at the end of last week in a rehab facility (she fell and broke her pelvis) but I wasn't sure what condition I'd find her in so I didn't take my camera. Surprisingly, she looked great and was moving around by herself. Quite amazing really. I tried to go today to see her again but the weather/road conditions were fierce. I'll take picture of us later this week when I go and post it here.

Proud Parents

Carl made it into the Accelerated Learning Program (ALPS) for next year. We are excited for this opportunity for him to learn at a quicker pace and will hopefully better meet his needs. He will also be beginning his Piano lessons next week. He will be training with a Suzuki teacher (who is fabulous and I love already) and I have to say after researching Mr. Suzuki and his methods, I am so impressed with him and his methods of learning and teaching. It will be an exciting adventure for sure.

Maglet was also accepted into the French Immersion Program. She will be in it throughout Elementary School. I am particularly excited about this as I always tried to throw a little French at my kids but nothing stuck...could be because I am not fluent. :)

Kat has been going to school early(er) because she has joined the Jazz Band. She is really enjoying participating.

Kat and Carl have both started playing soccer again this spring. Jeff will be coaching Carl's team and Kat seems to have another good coach although Pete is sorely missed.

Pounds and pudge

Jeff and I have joined Weight Watchers and are well on our way to reaching our 10% goal. Hooray. It is nice to do it together and to be watching the scale in the bathroom go the other way for a change.

Peace out! :)

Fun color choices and good for you for doing it yourself...I painted my girls rooms and it all ended there! We hired out the rest of the house. :) Can't wait to see it all finished!! I bet it will look fantastic!!

We all wish our children were as bright as the Peo's!!!! Way to go! That is awesome! They are trying to implement the French Immersion Program in the school by us (not the charter one where our kids go to) you'll have to let me know how that goes. Guy and I are starting P90X to get into shape! We should all treat ourselves to a game night with lots of chocolate and Kahlua Ice cream when we are done! ;) Good job on the house! I still need to see pics of the vinyl up!!!

Your home and kids are so cute!
Your success in WW has been contageous. Cody saw Jeff apparently looking so good at the office a few weeks back, joined the next day. Now I'm on it. My parents have joined and Matt from ASCOA is considering. Way to inspire a crowd!
